February 2012
Dear Parents,
Catholic Schools Week was a tremendous success. We added some new events to our traditional ones and the week proved to be a wonderful way to celebrate Saint Joseph Academy and the Catholic schools around the country. I am very thankful to all the staff who worked so hard to make the events so successful. I also want to thank the parents who spoke at the Masses to introduce Catholic Schools Week. Most important, I want to thank all our parents and families who work so hard and sacrifice so much on behalf of the youngsters we serve here.
By now you have all received the flyer announcing our first Saint Joseph Academy Gala. All of the proceeds will be put toward tuition assistance and the SJA development fund. There are many ideas we have for the school's continued growth including an I-Pad lab on each floor. If you are able, please support this effort. If you or if someone you know has a business, please try to sell an ad for the journal. The event will be held in SEASONS in Washington Township on April 19th.
Lent is almost upon us so as we prepare, we need to reflect on our lives and strive to continue to do God's work for ourselves, our families, and others. We will attend Mass on Ash Wednesday and a schedule of class attendance at Mass during Lent will follow.
God bless you all,
Jim Newman
